Any of you smart Gentlemen know how to replace the recoil pads on HS Precision stocks without doing damage to the original?
I have one on my 375Weatherby chambered Win Mod 70 S/S Classic, and it's WAY too hard for regular use in a T-shirt.
Thanks in advance, Gents.

To remove it one of the easiest ways is to freeze the stock. Then tap it off with a rubber mallet. The H.S recoil pads are just glued on.

Hope this helps.

Thanks heaps vsflongunner, I knew there weren't any screw holes in the pad!
So, my next question is:
How do I fit a new one?
Do I screw it or glue it?
Thanks.

What kind of pad are you gonna put back on it? The H.S pad has a alluminum plate to hold everything together.

It's really your call pard. IMO i would use the screws. But the old pad has held up with the glue.
